Pennsylvania’s state-related institutions accept for credit most college-level liberal arts courses earned at the
institutions participating in the commonwealth’s College Credit Transfer System.
The state-related universities include:
- Lincoln University
- Pennsylvania College of Technology
- The Pennsylvania State University
- Temple University
- University of Pittsburgh
To assist students as they prepare to transfer, each state-related institution has identified at least 30 credits from the
Transfer Credit Framework that will transfer and count toward the general education requirements for most majors at their institutions.
Courses listed in the
Transfer Credit Framework represent the type of coursework that is generally completed during the first and second year of a bachelor degree program. These courses are good choices for students who are undecided about the major they wish to pursue or the institution where they plan to transfer.

As with the other
participating colleges and universities, the state-related institutions offer a variety of courses - general and major-specific - that are transferable but not listed in the Transfer Credit Framework.
