Information for Transfer In Students
Accepts Transfers: Yes. We are an open door institution and welcome transfer students, regardless of their prior college experience. Many degree completers transfer to Delaware County Community College to retool, retrain and refresh.
Transfer Applications Received: Hundreds of students with prior college experience apply. They are not obligated to seek transfer credit and are not uniformly tracked.
Transfer Applications Accepted: All transfer applicants are accepted.
Percentage Accepted: 100%
Transfer Applicants Enrolled: Many students request credit evaluations after admission and enrollment. Consequently, we do not uniformly track this data.


Information for Transfer Out Students
Number of Transferring: 65% of our degree students are in transfer programs. 75% of transfer programs graduates do transfer, but additional students transfer before degree completion.
Transfer Agreements: Over 40 agreements, including guaranteed admission, dual admission, and core-to-core options--many with scholarship dollars attached
Special Programs: Trained counselors and staff assist students in planning their transfer. A number of information sessions and workshops are also offered to keep students informed of their opportunities.


Transfer Scholarships and Financial Aid
Incoming transfers are welcome to apply for College scholarships offered through our Educational Foundation. Financial aid is also available to eligible transfer students. First step is completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

Transfer Application Requirements
Minimum GPA: Since we are an open door institution, all individuals with prior college experience are welcome, regardless of academic performance.
Official Transcripts: Official transcripts must be submitted if student wishes to petition for transfer credit evaluation.
SAT Scores: Not required
Letters of Recommendation: Not required
Essay: Not required
Application Fee: $25; Exceptions handled on an individual basis by the Director of Admissions and Enrollment Services.
Interview: Not required but a welcome component of the entry process.

Transfer Credit Policy
Minimum Grade: Normally a grade of C or better required. However, acceptance depends on course appropriateness to selected curriculum and specific requirements within particular majors.
